As Director of Operations at Walk West, Ruth Gierisch leads the agency’s operational strategy, driving efficiency, scalability, and cross-functional alignment across teams. A self-proclaimed “process nerd,” she partners with department leads to streamline workflows, optimize resources, and ensure the agency operates at its highest potential. From implementing enterprise-level project management systems to developing KPI frameworks that improve performance visibility, Ruth brings structure to complexity and clarity to fast-moving organizations.
With nearly 20 years of experience spanning sales, marketing, and project management, Ruth has built a career solving operational challenges and supporting agency growth. She has led cross-functional initiatives that enhance collaboration, strengthen resource management, and improve both team performance and client delivery. Known for her ability to quickly diagnose inefficiencies and implement practical, effective solutions, she plays a critical role in keeping both teams and projects running smoothly.
Ruth is a graduate of Appalachian State University and brings a signature mix of humor, candor, and heart to her work. Outside the office, she enjoys tending to her gardens, tackling home renovation projects, staying active, and meeting every dog she passes in Durham - despite already having three at home.
